Responsibility…sometimes it kind of hangs around like an unwanted puppy dog.  Do you feed it?  Do you ignore it?  What’s it good for?

If you are a member or attender of Emmanuel  on Phinney Ridge,  maybe you ought to see if that puppy is hangin’ ‘round.  Responsibility for what, you ask.  Check with Josh, either one of them.  I’m sure there is a task you can accomplish; yard work for older members or take someone shopping if you have a car – and time.   Check with Kirby, he has some tasks lined up for Service Sunday on the 23rd.   Ask Mary Jean…there are those who need  intercessory prayer; people out of work, people  who need encouragement.    A cup of cold water given on a hot day….

We’re told in Ephesians 4:11 that God gave the church apostles, evangelists and pastors and teachers to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the body of Christ.  Work.  Don’t let it become just another four letter word.
