Hey Emmanuel,

My name is David Gerig and I’m the Director of Cleaning Facilities at Emmanuel.  I’m in charge of things most people find tedious and boring – but I find very therapeutic and oddly enjoyable.  Vacuuming the sanctuary, cleaning the bathrooms of the future Holy Grounds Café (my official name submission) and taking out the trash are just some of my responsibilities.  I’m also in charge of defeating everyone and anyone who dares to challenge me in a game of ping-pong in the intern office– although I do enjoy a fresh slice of humble pie every once and a while.

While I’m not taking out Randy’s recycle bin of Pepsi on a daily basis, I enjoy coaching high school basketball at Ballard High School.  I’m also wrapping up my graduate degree at Seattle U while aspiring to be a high school Athletic Director.  I’m originally from beautiful Colorado, I’ve enjoyed my two plus years living here in Seattle and look forward to many more!
