Jeff Budke: Speaking Team

Oct 24, 2012 | Posted by Emmanuel | Intern Blog |

Welcome all to my blog post, I am glad you all are here and I promise to entertain and inform all who read.

This week I am prepping for Sunday’s sermon. The researching and planning have gone well this week, aside from a few distractions.

If this video doesn’t make any sense to you, give it time and all will make sense soon.

In all seriousness, I take sermon preparations very sincerely, spending hours pouring over commentaries and different sermons on the specific text we are diving into for Sunday.

Esther 2:19-23 gives another glimpse into God’s presence in a God-less community. The text floods our imaginations with ways God loves and maintains the Israelites in spite of their exile. Wrapping up the first two chapters is a great place for me to set up the heart of the story in chapter 3 and beyond.

So stoked!

See you Sunday!

Halation!
