Us Against The World

Jun 5, 2013 | Posted by Emmanuel | Intern Blog |

I don’t have many words at this point in the year primarily due to the fact that I’m frantically closing up yet another academic year and preparing for the change of pace that comes in the summer.  But I do have a song to share.  This song has become something like a mantra over the past few months.  I know which cd it’s on, which track it is, and I move to it almost every time I get in my car these days.  Whether I’m making a long commute or ending a twelve-hour stretch at school or a leaving a heartbreaking conversation with a friend or client, the words have become a source of comfort.  They lull me back to center whenever I feel unsettled and they remind me that I’m not alone, that someone else is with me always.

I hope that these words can be a source of comfort to you, to lull you to peaceful stability and serve as a reminder that it’s “Us Against The World”
