Hey Emmanuel!

Home Intern Blog Hey Emmanuel!

Hey Emmanuel!

Nov 15, 2012 | Posted by Emmanuel | Intern Blog |

This is Mimi, your IT intern checking in… I know the above picture isn’t a picture of me working, but it IS a picture of a puppy, and… let’s be honest, that’s pretty much the next best thing. And, even better, I think this picture describes how I feel right now about Emmanuel! I’m excited! I’m pumped! And I just feel like I’m watching a flower come into bloom every day that I come by and see the future café that’s growing downstairs.

So, what have I been up to other than finding cute pictures of puppies? Well! I’ve been working on the website! You might notice there are updated pages for the counseling center and child’s play, I recommend that you check them out! We have so many talented people pouring their hearts and souls into Emmanuel, and the website is really a great space for everyone to show the fruits of their labors. Maybe, while you’re here, you should poke around a bit! Explore some pages that you’ve never looked at, you might find something fun to read.

Other than that… I’ve also been really enjoying our lessons about Esther lately. Speaking honestly, I’d never read the book of Esther in full before reading it with the Intern group. It’s a challenging story, but a great one! In particular, I love seeing such a strong women in Esther herself. Watching her journey from unassuming orphan, to a glamorous queen, to a strong and determined woman is really amazing, and I find her to be really inspiring!

And… that’s about all I have to say! I hope I imparted a bit of my excitement to you all with this post. Emmanuel is doing GREAT and EXCITING things, and I feel so blessed to be in the middle of it all!

– Mimi
