Shelter New Ten
“Hm, upgrades.” (extra points for movie quote id.)
As I’ve said before, giving is something between the giver and God, and according to Jesus giving is best done in secret. And so I don’t pry too much about where exactly the gift came from, I’m just thankful and let the Father take care of the reward and recognition due. I’m pretty sure Will, from Mosaic, was just the organizer of these gifts.
These beds seem just right for our needs, and we have grateful men. Thanks.
We had somewhat of a flood in the kitchen. The good kind of flood.
Supplies are in, and this makes the serving much easier. Thanks.
Speaking of serving,
We apparently have a color dress code for serving in the Shelter. Gray. (Of course, Dami is from Nigeria and I’m pretty sure gray is not a color there. I hope we are not infecting her with too much Seattle.)
Drop by for a visit or to serve. There are some openings left on the schedule. If you sign up in the secondary spot, you don’t have to bring anything but yourself. Actually you can just show up at seven and help.
That’s the News from The Men’s Shelter, on Phinney Ridge.
