What’s consumed my time lately? …thought you’d never ask. Hospital visits have never been one of my favorite things to do, but this one is different; my wife is there, recovering from a knee replacement. I know, I know, I’m not unique. Lots of people’s spouses have them. So I’ve logged hours driving to the hospital and keeping her company. Do I mind? No way. Even there she’s good company. I hope she thinks I am.
The lesson? For me, a lesson in giving; time, encouragement, love,
I’m also re-learning that it takes effort to be consistent and keeping to a schedule. The Psalmist committed himself to the morning as he said “But I will sing of your strength. In the morning I will sing of your love, for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble”. It’s a case of balancing needs with proper preparation for the day.
