The Wanderer’s path this week sort of led off to first impressions.  If we were to let ourselves be guided by today’s marketing culture we would probably look for the baddest, sexiest people we see, or the most expensive toy we can get.

Of course, we look for Santa first of all, because from infancy we’re told he’s the giver of gifts.  Then comes the dichotomy.  We find out that our parents bring the gifts…but we still hang on to Santa, and we have “Santamas”.

So, I guess I have to ask just like the little guy in the song, “Where’s the line to see Jesus”?  If you haven’t seen it and heard it, look for it online.  Get in the line to see Jesus.  He’s the gift; our Father in Heaven is the giver.
